As we must know, the origin of this country is known as the 13 colonies. The Thirteen British Colonies gave way to the United States. Geographically, the 13 original colonies of the United States of America can be split into the colonies of New England, the Middle Colonies, and the Southern Colonies. First of all, the New England (also the Northern) colonies included New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. The Middle Colonies included Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Delaware. Finally, the Southern Colonies included Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. Each colony has a different original purpose to be created, such as trading or religious freedom, both being the main reasons of most of the 13 colonies.
