The small arms of a T-Rex may seem funny but they were used for dangerous things. The arms of a T-Rex may seem useless but they were one of the most dangerous things on the T-Rex. The arms of the T-Rex were the one of the most dangerous things on the body because it slashed dinosaurs that were in reach of its arms, it could lift its self fast off the ground, and it could clutch on prey struggling to get away from its jaws.
What did T-Rex use its tiny arms for and why did those tiny arms have such strong muscles?

How T-Rex slashed dinosaurs in reach of its arms
First, thing that it used its arms for was for slashing dinosaurs that were close to it because it was hunting or because it was very territorial. If it was hunting it would pin the dinosaur down using its mighty jaws and it would slash the dinosaur using its sharp talons to inflict mortal wounds. The claws would inflict gashes that were a meter or more long and the wound will be a few centimeters deep within a few seconds. If it was for territorial reasons it would do the same thing except leave the dinosaur there instead of eating it. My proof is from an article called ''There Was a Dangerous Purpose Behind T-Rex's Tiny Arms'' and in this article it mentions in the second paragraph how it slashed dinosaurs that were close to it and how it would do it.

How did T-Rex use its short arms to lift its self off the ground
Second, thing it used its arms for was for it to lift its self off the ground fast if it was knocked down during a battle. When in battle and it happend to get knocked over it had to pick its self up before it is killed by the other dinosaur it was fighting. That is why the arms of a T-Rex had strong muscles. My proof is from an article called ''Why Did Tyrannosaurus Rex Have Tiny Arms?'' and in this article it mentions in the sixth paragraph that ''T-Rex used its arms to lever itself off the ground if it happened to be knocked off its feet during battle.'' This is my proof because it explains how T-Rex would lift its self off the ground using its tiny little arms.

How would T-Rex use its tiny arms to clutch on prey struggling to get away from the T-Rex
Finally, the last thing it used its arms for was for it to clutch its arms on prey struggling to get away from its jaws. If the dinosaur it is trying to eat is trying to get away it will use its tiny arms to clutch tightly on the dinosaur and then it will use its tiny claws on his arms to inflict meter long gashes to finish off the dinosaur. My proof is from an article called ''Why Did Tyrannosaurus Rex Have Tiny Arms?'' and in this article it mentions in the seventh paragraph that ''T-Rex used its arms to clutch tightly onto squirming prey before it delivered a killer bite with its jaws.'' This is my proof because it explains how it clutches tightly onto squirming prey before killing them. It also explains how it will finish the dinosaurs off using its mighty bite force.

Conclusion on reasons why T-Rex used its tiny arms
Lastly, the arms of a T-Rex was one of the most dangerous things that it had on its body because it slashed dinosaurs that were close to its arms, it could lift its self off the ground fast, and it could clutch on prey struggling to get away from its mighty jaws. In this essay it talks about how T-Rex's arms were nothing to laugh at and how they had a dangerous purpose behind them. It also talks about reasons why it will use its arms. The last thing it talks about is how it killed dinosaurs using its arms. So next time when you look at the mighty arms of a T-Rex don't laugh at them because there was a dangerous purpose behind those little arms.
