In the Old Stone Age they used stone tools to build and to hunt.

New Stone Age
In the New Stone Age people stopped being nomadic and start to domesticate animals. Since they started farming they needed help so they didn't always farm themselves, you use animals to help them farm.
In the New Stone Age they started to permit homes since they had new technology, they didn't have to hunt all the time.
Since they were growing crops in the New Stone Age, they were able to have a balanced diet of fruit, veggies, and meat.
