On September 23, 1988, Orkid was born at Shamu Stadium, Sea World.

Three days later, On September 26, 1988, Orkid's father died of acute pneumonia, many have said this is the first traumatic experience she had.

Orkid started performing with Corky, she had 7 calves that all died, none lived past 50 days. It was clear to the trainers that all she wanted was to be a successful mother.

Kandu, Orkid´s mom, attacked Corky one day, which led to Kandu´s death. Some say that Corky was trying to take Orkid away from Kandu, but nobody knows for sure.

Another Orca started performing with Orkid named Splash. Splash had epilepsy, also known as seizure disorder.

Working as a team, Splash and Orkid attacked a trainer named Tamarie. This incident inspired the documentary Black Fish.

Did you know?

Many trainers have left the company, and started to share information such as the fact that Sea World has been drugging the Orcas with Valium. Valium is a drug used to treat anxiety and seizures, although some of the orcas calmed down a bit, a few became even more aggressive.

One day, Splash had an epilepsy attack, causing him to bang his head against the wall, resulting in his death.

Orkid is still at Sea World, performing tricks against her will, in a place she can barely swim around in. She is known as one of the most aggressive Orcas at Sea World, but after watching her friends and family, get hurt or killed, who is to blame.

Orkid and many other orcas are being abused in captivity, and they all need your help. Over 165 Killer Whales have died in captivity, not including calves and miscarriages. The species generally swims miles everyday in the wild, but in small tanks they cannot do so, creating stress, and aggression. So the question is, what can we do? Where would the Killer whales go?

All Orcas shall swim free
