5 Billion Years Ago

Everything started with our sun. The universe was surrounded by dust. Gravity pulled the dust into tiny rocks and a planet was born.

4.5 Billion Years Ago

Our planet looks like hell. It is so hot and toxic that we would be incinerated seconds. Another planet is heading towards earth and forms one big planet made of lava.

3900 Million Years Ago

A hail of meteors are heading towards earth. The meteors are carrying water inside their crystals. Pools of water start to form, just enough to from a crust. This water is billions of years old. Over time the moon moves away, the waves calm down, and the earth spins slower. Still, earth is a dangerous place.

3800 Million Years Ago

Tiny islands start to appear causing molten rock to burst through the ocean. The molten lava will eventually stop and cool. This will start forming islands. Life still can not exist on earth yet. The meteors are still falling through the toxic atmosphere. Bacteria is forming in the ocean from chemicals bonding together. Microscopic life is on the way!

3500 Million Years Ago

A bacteria called stromatolites, are using sunlight to make food, also known as photosynthesis. This releases a byproduct of oxygen. The oxygen is above the waves and in the atmosphere. Without oxygen, life would not be able to exist.

1500 Million Years Ago

Our planet is a blue ball with volcanic islands. There are still no signs of plants or dinosaurs. The earth's core is hotter than the sun's surface, carrying the oceans and the islands closer to it and Rodinia is formed.

650 Million Years Ago

The ice starts to melt causing the earth's crust to bounce up. This makes more volcanos causing the increase of carbon dioxide to push up the temperature. A chemical makes hydrogen peroxide which melts and releases oxygen. Now it earth is starting to wake up. But no life could have survived the ice age on land so their must be something in the ocean.

540 Million Years Ago

The camorra explosion, there are worms, sponges, and trilobites. There are plants everywhere and life is blossoming.  The microscopic bacteria is huge! Picaya 5.6 centimeters long and its going to evolve to a spine that we have today.

460 Million Years Ago

The suns blast hits the earth's surface with deadly radiation. Life cannot live like this. The gas from the atmosphere is forming something called the ozone layer. As the layer becomes thicker, the more it keeps the sun's rays from hitting us.

375 Million Years Ago

Life has conquered the planet. Dragon flies are the size of eagles and there are huge millepedes and spiders. Plominous lay its eggs in the water. These baby creatures will be the future reptiles. But with life there is death. The plants are dying and turning soggy. Still, life is striving. As predators catch their prays, the pressure beneath the earth's surface is growing extremely hot. The ground is erupting in Gondwana causing extinction. The ashes burns and suffocates the animals all around the world. The water evaporates and life dies. In the ocean pink algae is increasing. A dangerous gas is escaping. It is pushing up the temperatures .

350 Million Years Ago

Molten rock has dried to 6 kilometers deep. The planet is healing and temperatures are settling. This starts the age of the dinosaurs. The earth's crust is still thin in some area's causing Pangea to break up. Today this is called the middle east.

180 Million Years Ago

The earth's plates are still moving away from each other. New oceans and continents are forming making the Atlantic Ocean. The entire sea floor is being pulled in two. Molten lava is coming out making the new ocean floor.

65 Million Years Ago

A 10 kilometer meteor is heading fast towards earth. It is destroying everything in its path. Now the earth is being attacked by rocks, earthquakes, and tsunamis. The earth's surface is rising up to 200 degrees. Loss of sunlight is causing animals and plants to die off. All of the dinosaurs have died off. Our mammal ancestors stayed underground during the attack. These animals will evolve into monkeys, then apes, and eventually humans.

47 Million Years Ago

The earth is almost the way we know it to be. The plates are still moving; India is moving towards Asia. The two pieces of land are buckle forming a huge mountain. This is also known as the Himalaya Mountains.

20 Million Years Ago

Everything is the way it is supposed to be. But the only problem is...there are no humans.

4 Million Years Ago

More mountains rise up from the earth. They act as a wall keeping rain and moisture kept from the land. Now what used to be a jungle is now a desert. Because of the tectonic plates forming mountains, Apes have to adapt by walking on their feet.
