Dependency Ratio: a measure showing the number of dependents.

Replacement Rate: retirement money paid out upon retirement.

Population Density: population per unit area

Life Expectancy: period that a person may expect to live.

Demography: study of human life.

China's population is 1.415 billion

The Chinese population is still increasing, but they aren't producing enough babies.

Questions:

-Is the majority of China's population more under or over 50 y/o?

-Is there an imbalance or is it balanced?

-What age group is most of China's population?

ONE CHILD POLICY

 China's one child policy, or the family planning policy, is to help with the density of the regions population. It was introduced in 1979 and began to be phased out towards the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016. According to the Chinese government, it's estimated that  400 million births were prevented.
