Carboniferous Period

The Carboniferous Period was a humid tropical period split into two subdivisions the Mississippian and the Pennsylvanian.

The animal life consisted of Trilobites in the late Mississippian and early Pennsylvanian.

The name "Carboniferous" comes from the large deposits coal that formed during the period.

Trilobites are the fossil of Pennsylvania because they are vastly found here.

Mainly the two subperiods environments where the same but both had slight differences. Like amounts of life.

Most of the life during the Carboniferous period was plant life but the animal life was made up of amphibians, insects, arachnids, and trilobites
