Ancient Mesopotamia had two rivers in it, the Tigris and Euphrates. Mesopotamia was named after its location as, Mesopotamia in Greek means 'between the rivers'.
R- Religion
The ancient Mesopotamians had their own religion, called Mesopotamian Religion.
They had a polytheistic belief system, and believed in several gods, they also believed in demons created by the gods without even caring if they were good or bad.
This is the queen of the night, she was considered to be the goddess of the underworld.
.This is Enki, he also is called Ea, Enkig, Nudimmud, and Ninsiku. He is the god of wisdom, fresh water, intelligence, trickery and mischief, crafts, magic, exorcism, healing, creation, virility, fertility, and art.
This is Anu, he was an early Mesopotamian sky god, he was seen as Father of the Gods and ruler of the heavens.

The ancient Mesopotamians invented quite a few inventions that still exist in daily life.
This is a comparison of Mesopotamian Wheels To Modern Day Wheels. The wheel was invented around 3,500 B.C. and was originally used for potter's wheels before being used for transportation. That was nearly 5,517 years ago!
The Mesopotamians also developed a way of writing called cuneiform. It was created sometime around 3,500 B.C. Nearly 5,517 years ago!
This is a comparison of the Mesopotamian plow and the modern day plow. The plow was innvented around 3,000 B.C. and is used for the same purpose as now, for agriculture. It was invented nearly 5,017 years ago.
