Song dynasty

The Song Dynasty (960–1279) was a period of technological advances. It coexisted with the Liao Dynasty (907–1125) in the northeast and the Western Xia Dynasty (1038–1227) in the northwest.

Accomplishments

  • unprecedented economic growth and industrial advance.
  • `improved techniques of rice cultivation
  • They built some of the biggest cities in the world, such as Kaifeng and Hangzhou

Tang Dynasty

 The Tang Dynasty (618–907) supplanted the industrious. It flourished culturally for over a century before disaster and conflict slowly brought decline. It disintegrated into the bloody Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Period (907–960).

 The Tang Dynasty was one of the most prosperous dynasties in Chinese history. It was the golden age for poetry and painting, and best known for tricolored glazed pottery and woodblock printing.

Accomplishments:

  • It had the only female emperor in Chinese history - Wu Zetian
  • one of the most prosperous dynasties in Chinese history.
  • They invented gun powder

Yuan dynasty


The Yuan Dynasty (1279–1368) was China's first foreign-led dynasty, in between the Chinese Song and Ming dynasties. It was established by Kublai Khan, leader of the vast Mongol Empire, and fell into internal rebellion after it lost touch with its Mongol roots.

Achievements

  • They homed marco polo
  • the first foreign-led dynasty in ancient China.
  • the first to use paper money as the main currency.

S- Mostly Buddhist, eventually turned to Tibetan Buddhism

P-  they had Mongolian leaders

E- They used paper money as their main currency, which both of the other dynasty's didn't
