The Roman Republic was founded in 509 BC, it later transformed into the Roman Empire. People thought it would of lasted for ever but no, it fell from within. The Roman Empire lasted for 1,000 years and the Republic lasted for 482 years.

509 BC

This is when the Roman Republic was founded, the founder was Lucius Junius Brutus. The senate was also founded but the senate would abuse its power to get what they want. The senate would appoint who becomes the leader and consuls of the Roman Republic

The Latin war, 340 BC
The war was a conflict of the Roman Republic and the people of Italy. Rome needed to expand it's borders so that led to a war. The war ended and the Latin became Roman citizens and join the military to fight.

First Punic War 264 to 241 BC, this war was fought between Rome and Carthage. The war lasted 23 years, the war was a Roman Republic victory.

Spartacus uprising, 73 BC. He led a army of thousands and defeated the Romans number of times. But then he was defeated and killed in battle.
Juluis Caesar becomes first dictator in 45 BC, he helped Rome grow and thrive. He would later be killed on March 15th which is now known as Idles of March.
Roman Empire

Augustus becomes emperor, 31 BC to 14 BC
He had to fight for his throne, but he ended up helping Rome and expanding it. He would later die from natural causes.

Tiberius becomes emperor in 42 BC. He's known for being a military leader and good leader. He helped Rome.
