JFK was a life and a Presidency cut way too short by an assassins bullet, JFK was young and inspirational for many Americans and citizens of the world in the early 1960's.

JFK from Mass ran for the Democrats and Richard Nixon for the Republicans. The race was close JFK had to overcome his religion, his age and inexperienced, but his performance over Nixon in the TV debates helped him win by 110,000 votes to capture the Presidency.

                                               The Alliance for Progress ( 1961)

The Alliance for Progress was a program by JFK to keep communism limited in the Western Hemisphere.

The US would Invest 12 billion dollars in Latin American nations building roads, bridges, electricity grids, infrastructure. It was a Marshall Plan for Latin America.

JFK wanted to be a good neighbor and assist developing nations.
