Current State of Asylum's /Prisons:
Asylum's are not around anymore, but prisons are still around but are not nearly as bad as they were back in the 19th century. Now they are a place where people are to think about what they have done not punished for it.
Who was the women who went around to prison's and made them better?

This Reform was successful because state governments no longer put debtors in prison. Most had created special justice systems for children in trouble. And many had outlawed cruel punishments, like branding people with hot irons.
