They believed in Hinduism. They had modern day religion's. Their gods had animistic characteristic and believed they praised animals.

They where one of the first to develop the irrigation system mainly to provide food for them self's. They settled in one spot for living.

Transportation and trade was a very important achievement for them. They had a trade rout from Mesopotamia to northern and central India. They where economic not military.

They where run by the priest so there government and religion where combined. They did not have a court system. They believed in karma and to be a good person and to do your duty.  

The Indus river valley was a monarchy. They were ruled by the king. The priest had control over every one and the government. They where known as priest kings

They mainly depended on trade. There currency was traded goods. They where built of a swapping and battering system.

Agriculture was the main occupation for the Indus. Farmers brought food to the cities. traders brought materials to the workers and took away the finished product and brought them to other cities.

The social life of Indus people was systematic and organized.  The people were from various races.  Women and men dressed a like and had long hair.  They wore ornaments made of gold, silver, and copper.

The Indus people participated in clay modeling for their social amusement.  The children played with animal shaped toys made of clay.  If you were rich you had large courtyards you spent your time here with family and friends.
