What was the children's entertainment
Like we do today were we own electronic toys the kids back then obviously did not. There toys consisted dolls made out of corn on the cob, or really any scraps of anything they could find they would find a way to entertain themselves with it.
They also had handmade toys. Kinda like what we have today. They the whirligig, blocks, dolls, and string. The whirling was essentially a string with a flat wood pieces that had a hole in the middle the string would go though the hole and you would spin the string all up and then slowly pull apart and it would give the toy a cool effect.
