North Shore Credit Union (www.nscu.com) is giving a $1 million gift to a worthy non-profit organization in spring 2007 to a charity for a major project that supports the physical, environmental or financial wellness of one of the local communities the credit union serves - the North Shore, downtown Vancouver, Burnaby, Squamish, Whistler or Pemberton. This is just part of NSCU's committment to corporate giving and community support which also includes it's committment to give 1% of pre-tax profits as an Imagine company (www.imagine.com).

Great Cuban Food on the Cheap

This is a great neighborhood BYOB restaurant that my wife and I frequent quite often with friends. The prices are VERY reasonable, 4 people with appistiers, dinner and coffee is usually under $50. I recommend getting in there before 7:30 on weekends if you don't want to chance waiting for a table to open up.

The safest bet is any of the chicken dishes on the menu.

The friendly wait staff does not rush you so if you want a quick bite you might get frustrated.
