Godaddy, you suck!

Everytime I email them regarding a certain issue, they reply to me with a template email that does not even answer my question or even that close to.

They are totally unprofessional and lack of common sense.

Try googling their customer service, and you will not even find a single positive statement

Great Customer Service from Shaw

As a web designer I routinely need to get access to FTP servers and as a results deal with a lot of hosting providers. Some of my clients use Radiant, other Net nation, Telus, dreamhost, doteasy and Shaw. Dealing with these hosting providers is a real pain because they all have their way of dealing with things.

Recently I had a problem with one of my clients website. After modifying the DNS I still couldn't get the site up. During the course of a week I phoned them 4 times. On my last call, I spoke to Terry who was finally able to identify my problem. Not only did Terry fix the problem he called me the next day to see if I could see the website! I was amazed. Someone from customer server actually took the time to call me. Now that's great service.

Really poor customer service

I purchased a domain, hosting and InstantSite Plus package from 123-reg on March 13 and it is today march 21 and my site is still not live. I have sent several email to 123-reg's customer service expressed my concern but they have not responded to any of my enquiries.

Ashame since it was a really easy process to purchase the domain at 123-reg but that does not matter when they do not value customr's post purchase experience. They will get customers to try them ones but not re purchase.

I have always used Go Daddy in the past and will do so in the future as well.

Let's hope that 123-reg at least respond to me here with an explanation.

BR,

Nick Jonsson

Hosting Nightmare

The hosting business is definitely a competitive one. But apparently Canada Web Hosting has no interest competing. I was a long time customer of their shared-hosting platform and for the most part, uptime was reliable, service and support were more than adequate.

A few months ago Canada Web Hosting (CWH), without notice, sold all their shared-hosting customers to a sub-standard hosting company called Synergy Web Services.

My files and domains were, along with many of my clients with their own hosting packages, were moved to a new server that did not even support the web technology we were running on CWH's platform. They backed up my data from a two year old archive, losing everything from 2006 on, and then billed 1 year in advance...when we all had always paid monthly.

I have left over 20 messages with support and administration and they have yet to return a single call or respond to repeated emails.

In the end, I appealed to Canada Web Hosting to see if they could help with the problem and they basically told me it wasn't their problem. They dumped everyone and just washed their hands of it.

I want to spread the word until both companies are out of business so if anyone has had similar issues, please post your story.
