Zenni Optical - Buyer Beware!

Eyeglasses purchased from Zenni Optical appear to be low quality and their customer service stinks. I bought 2 pair of glasses with titanium frames; described as "extremely strong frames." Both broke - one in less than a month and one in about 3 months. No satifaction from Zenni Optical. I had a very rude customer service representative on the phone discussing a 50% discount promised by another representative due to problems with my first pair of glasses and was told they would not honor the discount promised. I asked to speak with the manager. The rude customer service representative told me that she was the owner (I think she really is and have talked with her multiple times since). Anyway, she said he representative that offered the 50% discount did not work there anymore and was not authorize to offer the discount and Zenni Optical would not honor it. I went ahead and bought the second pair, paying by credit card at my credit card company's advice and then the credit card company refunded 50% of the purchase price and they dealt with Zenni Optical. Nice credit card company (USAA Federal Savings Bank) but jerks at Zenni Optical. My second pair of titanium frame glasses broke 2 days ago (about 3 months old) and are not repairable. Zenni Optical said they can make me new glasses (and you guessed it, at their regular price). DON'T DEAL WITH ZENNI OPTICAL - unless you want a crumby product and rude customer service that produces no results.

You can find anything at highly discounted price on Internet. It’s proving to be equally true for Prescription eyeglasses. I tried this when I broke my Oakley frame bought for $250. After I google eyeglasses I felt that I am really late in trying this online but I am glad I finally did.
I ordered my 25.99 eyeglasses for a company Goggles4u Eyeglasses www.Goggles4u.com after 2 days of complete research over the online eyeglasses retailers, I decided to place my order at goggles4u and I guess I was not wrong.

I placed an order for Single Vision Eyeglasses with CR39 materiel 1.56 index lenses as i have fairly light prescription. I ordered my glasses on 24th July, 2007 and received a confirmation from them on 26th July that they have been shipped. Received them on 7th Aug, 2007 in black hard cardboard box, very well placed in hard clamp shell case.

Upon initial inspection I found that the frames are generic brand and not from any name brands but of high quality. The lenses were coated very well and I can see as well as I can with my expensive pair.
I am thrilled to receive such quality for such price. In last few days, I have recommended shopping for eyeglasses online to all my friends and family members. If you would like to try ordering eyeglasses, always fax your prescription to ovoid any mistakes entering it online, spend sometime researching for a frame you like, do not rush and find a correct size, its not rocket science but will take few hours initially.

They also offer sunglass tinting by which you can change any prescription eyeglasses into beautiful sunglasses. I have never tried this before but will be ordering one soon and post my review as soon as I receive it.

Beside your prescription, you need to know your PD which is pupil distance i.e. distance between the pupil of your eyes. This is mainly used to center the lens thinnest part (the center) with the pupil. It is very important that you give this information correctly as the glasses may give you slight headache depending upon your prescription. They have given a guide to measure it at home as well.

They have over 2200 frames to choose from but fancy frame to contemporary styles. I have visited few other retailers but never found anyone selling such large collection.

Try ordering online and I am sure you will be as happy as I am. Don’t listen to people saying you can go blind ordering eyeglasses online.
