You used to be able to bypass it, but not anymore. In our house we load the disc twenty minutes prior to watching, and keep the TV off until we can simply press &#39;enter&#39; and be done with it.</p><p>As technology gets smarter we&#39;re increasingly strapped to the market-o-matic, mouths and eyes&nbsp;propped open, apocalypse now-style. Eat it, consumer! You&#39;re captive, you&#39;re powerless!
