Is gas stations going to stop selling gas too?

I was in urgent need of a spark plug the other day, i had to change all the spark plugs in my car.

Easter weekends are always difficult halford and other shops were closed, so I figured the best place to go would be the large gas station next door, the BP station on Old Kent road.

I went in there, there was a nice promotion on mars planets - some new chocolate thing, a clearance price on coffee cups and a range of strange things like bananas, folding chairs and other useless things which couldn't even fit in my car.

I walked around aisle after aisle, this BP station is about the site of a tesco metro so i figured i'd find it.

I gave up and aske a member of staff, the guy didn't know what a spark plug was and asked if is was a cleaning product for the floor?

I looked at him and walked to another member of staff, he seemd tohave heard of spark plugs and showed me into the back corner of the store, where there was one shelf with car products. Mainly window clearner and one or two light blups but now spark plugs.

I got hold of the thrird member of staff this time pussled i asked this is a petrol station no?

Yes! he said and pointed to the petrol pumps outside which confirmed his statement.

I was more pussled, I asked him if i could get 4 spark plugs for my car. He said sorry we don't have spark plugs.

I was pussled as i left the store empty handed and wondered if the bananas sold by the exit the new ecological spark plugs and wondered where i should stick the bananas into my car.

If petrol station don't sell spark plugs will this mean that food stores will stop selling milk? and we will have to go get our milk from the petrol stations? Will we have to go to the dentists to get our hair done, and the hairdressers to get a vaccination?

Please bring back the Service stations and at least haave more than one useless shelf of car things, it might stay there for ever but one day like my experience someon is going to push his/her car into a gas sation hopeing they have petrol and will find that only milk comes out of the nozzles!
