A Great Midway Experience

I recently rented a car from Midway in Santa Monica. Normally I just book through expedia and go with the cheapest big name company but Midway was right beside my hotel so I wandered over and tried them out.

Midway only services the Los Angeles area and that local feeling really comes across in their service. The people there seemed to really identify with the company in a way I have never experienced at a bigger car rental place. They were very proud to work for midway. A couple of them had worked at bigger car rental places and and really enjoyed the fact that midway is small and focused.

They took the time to ask about where I was going and gave me maps + direction and tips. Also since they didn't have a compact car at that location I got a VW Bug Convertible for the same price!

So the next time you are travelling and need a car think local... the results were pleasantly surprising.
